Liquid Rubber Drylar™.
Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is a modified elastomeric asphalt emulsion specifically formulated as a spray applied protective foundation coating. Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is part of a dual component system that is applied using a specifically designed spray applicator. The technology advances in Liquid Rubber Drylar™ give a quick setting coating membrane that is solvent-free and has excellent strength, elasticity and adhesion.
Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is an environmentally friendly waterproofing product which can be applied indoors and outdoors with no special protective equipment.
CCMC (Canadian Construction Materials Center) Approved (13175-R)
USES
Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is used as a waterproofing membrane for concrete foundation structures, basements, retaining walls, pond lining, parking decks, planters, and other exterior surfaces.
Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is used wherever waterproofing or damp proofing is required to protect a structure.
APPLICATION
Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is used as a waterproofing membrane for concrete foundation structures, basements, retaining walls, pond lining, parking decks, planters, and other exterior surfaces. Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is used wherever waterproofing or dampproofing is required to protect a structure.
Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is applied as a dual component system using a specially designed spray system. Both components of the system are water based and environmentally friendly. Applied at ambient temperature (above 15°C) Liquid Rubber Drylar™ sets almost instantly, forming a seamless flexible membrane. Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is a safe alternative to conventional hot-applied or solvent based waterproofing systems. For best results Liquid Rubber Drylar™ should be applied to a dry surface which is free of dirt, debris, oil or grease. The product sets up rapidly, however it is not recommended to apply any waterproofing product if heavy rains are imminent.
Liquid Rubber Drylar™ is applied between 0.7 m2/liter (30 ft2/gal) to produce a 40 mil protective membrane to 0.175 m2/litre (7.5 ft2/gal) to produce a 160 mil membrane. Typically Liquid Rubber Drylar™ dries to the touch in one (1) minute @20°C and is completely cured in 48 hrs. This curing time may vary depending on temperature and relative humidity.
Typically an applicator crew can spray 6,000 ft2 (560 m2) per day. Protection board or insulation may be applied to the membrane surface after an initial set time of 20 minutes.
